Wishing you Blue Skies

Some of my favorite pictures of my kids were ones taken on the beach. Children love the beach, and I always loved watching them interact and play...saying they were going to dig their way to China with their little plastic shovels in the sand!

Stamps: Background image is called Canvas by SU, and the main image and the greeting are both by Inkadinkadoo

Ink: Black Stazon, Close to Cocoa

Paper: Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Rose Red, and watercolor paper

Also used were watercolor pencils with a blender, white Signo gel pen for the faux stitching, Nesties, and ribbon by American Crafts.

Silly Old Bear.....

This is an image I've had forever and have never used it. It sits up on my shelf and I smile every time I look at it because I love these mellow little Classic Pooh characters. It was time to ink them up and share this silly old bear with all of you....

Stamp: Classic Pooh Friendship by All Night Media

Ink: Black Stazon

Paper: Always Artichoke, watercolor paper, and Terra Cotta Paisley designer paper made by Creative Imaginations

I also used my nesties, antique copper brads, watercolor pencils, blender, horizontal slot punch, and a fabulous piece of green checked ribbon from a local store.

Popsicle Card

I know many of you have seen these popsicle cards made before but I think they're so cute that I just had to make some for myself to send out. I decided to post it just in case some of you haven't seem them yet. This card was cased from another blogger, Rochelle, who made several other flavors of popsicles by using other colors of SU card stock and images.

Whisper White and Only Orange (SU) were the colors of paper used to make this card along with Only Orange ink. The stamp is from the "Tart and Tangy" set also from Stampin' UP!

A scallop punch and corner rounder was used, along with a popsicle stick that I was lucky enough to get from my neice so I didn't have to buy an entire bag of them. (Thanks Kelly!)

Inside the card I put in a white insert and simply stamped "Happy Summer" on it.

Journal

I have a little journal book that I use often but it had the ugliest cover on it! Every time I saw it I told myself that I needed to make a new cover for it. Well......I finally did and even laminated it so it would be protected in my pocketbook. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and it looks sooooo much better than it did before! LOL

I used some heavy card stock designed by Brenda Walton at K&Company for my background, then cut two squares of Stampin' Up cardstock, More Mustard and Garden Green to use as layers. Black Stazon ink was used to stamp the image on to Whisper White card stock, then colored in using a blender and watercolor pencils. I added some small dragonfly stickers then added the words "Be Happy Every Day" with a stamp from Hero Arts.

The main image is from a Stampin' UP retired set called "All That's Nice".

Reid is 1 year old!

We've had lots of birthdays this month! Little Reid turned a year old and this is the card I made for him in honor of his "big day". Reid is just the cutest little red headed guy who has one of those great big contagious smiles!

I wanted to make a card that showed the age he was celebrating on the front and went through tons of stamps looking for what I thought was the perfect one. I finally dug through some images that were given to me and knew right away when I'd found it!!! A cute little teddybear holding a frame that I could place his age into. A BIG thanks to my stamping pal Candy, who had given this image to me a while ago.

Stamp: Darcies

Ink: Black, Tempting Turquoise

Paper: Really Rust, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, designer paper by K&Company

I also used various colored pencils and markers, along with a piece of rainbow twine made by Lehigh. I cut out the center of the frame and backed it with card stock I ran through the computer so I could get the perfect size "1". I also did the same thing for the personalized greeting. A sponge dauber was used with Tempting Turquoise around the edges of the greeting to add a bit of color.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE REID!

The Ladybug

I just love little ladybugs and couldn't wait to finish this card so I could post it to show all of you. Using the bright red rick-rack I think was the perfect thing to finish off the card, don't you agree? :)

Stamps: Itty Bitty Backgrounds (SU), and the greeting is from My Sentiments Exactly

Ink: Black Stazon

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, all from Stampin' UP!

This was really a fun card to make! I used circle and oval punches to make the ladybug, and added a couple of black brads for the antenna. The wings were stamped to match the red background paper using Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Then I decided to do some paper piercing, but I still think it's that piece of bright red rick-rack that gives the card a bit of pizzaz! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy Birthday Jocelyn!

Jocelyn's birthday is always a special day but this year she claims she isn't counting them anymore! Here is the card I made for her this year to help celebrate her special day.

Stamps: Terific Tulips,Warmest Regards

Ink: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Versamark, Certainly Celery

Paper: Very Vanilla, Whisper White,Pale Plum, Certainly Celery

I also used Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Birds & Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, and a piece of organdy ribbon to finish it all off.

Sometimes I want one of my cards to simply "sparkle" and the Iridescent Ice certainly did the trick for this card.Unfortunately, it doesn't really show it in this picture.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday Jocelyn!!
