CHRISTMAS HOMEMADE GIFTS 2016

Happy New Year everyone!  It's the start of a new year again. I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.  One of my goals for last year was to make everyone on my Christmas list a handmade item. They all still received store bought gifts, but I wanted to give them all something from "me". I hope they all liked what I made them.
Canning Bread & Butter Pickles
and Zucchini Relish
Lots of homemade goodies
put into Christmas tins.
Heating Pad Rice Bag for Jocelyn

Notepad for my sister Beverly
she LOVES kitties!

Bracelets to match outfits bought for Claudia
Hello Kitty fringed blanket for Claudia
Framed, cross stitched snowman
for Kattaleeya

Hand quilted table runner for Jocelyn
made with love in every stitch!
Cross stitched, felt lined, stained box with
a personalized pad of paper for Lily
(she LOVES soccer so this was perfect)!

Cross stitched, felt lined, stained box with
2 bracelets for Lucy

Well, these are the handmade gifts I made for everyone. The guys got mostly canning and homemade goodies. Other homemade goodies were made but no photos taken, I have one sister (Brenda) who I have not exchanged with yet (we do after the holidays) so I will post the gift that I made for her once she has it. :)   Now you can see why my blog posting went to the wayside, I'm back to making and posting cards now....  :)

Until next time...

Homemade/handmade gifts are always the best! You're family is very lucky to have you. Everything looks wonderful (and the goodies look yummy!)

As her sister, I got to watch her create these super-thoughtful gifts over several months. It was fun seeing how each one evolved, and also tasting the goodies (for quality control, of course). The whole project included many late nights, tired eyes and pricked fingers. Everyone was beyond thrilled to receive them. The gift Clara made for me took so many hours and so much creativity. It is one I could never duplicate. I'm sure she will post pictures soon. She is one awesome sister, mom and grammy, that's for sure!
