HAPPY EASTER

Every so often you come across a stamp set that becomes a "must have"for you. I just fell in love with this adorable new set by Gina K Designs called Spring Fling.
I love these cute little images and thought they'd be perfect peeking out of the little windows made with a die from MFT's Blueprints #27. The beautiful green card stock called Applemint, is also by Gina K Designs. The DP is from the Dots & Stripes Sorbet collection from MFT. Various Copic markers were used for color, along with some ribbon and enamel dots from my stash.

HELLO SPRING

Spring is here....

I just heard from the company who opens our pool each year to make an appointment to get it opened in a matter of weeks. We just had 18-20" of snow dumped on us this past week so sometimes it's hard to believe that spring has actually arrived! I have been making a lot of floral cards lately....I must be getting spring fever.
My card base is made with SU's Lovely Lilac, adding a layer of white and some Certainly Celery DP on top. Blueprints #3 by MFT was used to die cut the white center arch that I stamped the flowers on, using an image from a SU set called "So Very Grateful". The small hello greeting is by Hero Arts. I had fun coloring the flowers using various Copics. When it came to the ribbon, I didn't have anything that was the right color to compliment the card, so I used the Copic color YR00 that was used for the peach flower on the card, and colored a piece of 1/2" white ribbon. It worked great and became a perfect matching color!

Happy Spring!

SPRING AND PASTELS

I needed to make a spring card using pastels in one of my card groups this month. One of the things that reminds me of spring is flowers...this is what I came up with for my card swap.

I started out with a white card stock background and used one of the MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edge dies to round off the edge of the card so I could add some MFT Plaid Patterns designer paper to give the card some great pastel colors. These are the other things I used to complete my card.

Fancy Flourish Die-namic - MFT
Gerbera Daisy Die-namic - MFT
Coral Crush card stock - MFT
Sour Apple card stock - MFT
Regal Rose card stock - Stampin' UP
So Saffron card stock - Stampin' UP
Creamy Caramel card stock - Stampin' UP

Hope you enjoy your card, Judy!

BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR YOU

I recently needed a birthday card for a stamping friend, Regena. I decided to use a Gina K Design stamp that I've had for a long time. She has some really nice framed images and definitely worth checking out her site.

It's a cute and easy card to make. Great for when you realize you need a card but don't have a lot of time to make one. This particular set is called Framed Greetings. You can easily change the words from a birthday greeting to a Thank you, Thinking of You, or a Sorry for your Loss greeting, keeping the same frame. I love this little set!
Here are the other products used to make my card.

Sahara Sand card stock and ink - Stampin' UP!
Lavender Lace card stock - Stampin' UP!
Polka Dot DP - MFT
Prismacolor colored pencils
American Crafts Uptown Purple ribbon

HAPPY WINTER

One of my favorite winter stamp images. It's from a retired Stampin' UP! set called Winter Wonderland.  Look at all the beautiful snow and ice capped roofs made using Star Dust Stickles!
