Bee Trio

Well, I just got my new scallop border punch from Stampin' UP and wanted to use it right away because I couldn't wait for it to arrive! The bottom scalloped row on this card was done using the punch. This card was made for my neice, Melanie, who was recently in an accident. I don't suppose the card will make her feel any better, but hopefully knowing it's being sent with lots of love and healing wishes will.

Stamp: Bee Trio by Stampendous

Ink: Black Stazon

Paper: Making Memories designer paper, watercolor paper, Lovely Lilac

I also used my Nesties around the main image, 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon by SU, white brads, 1/2" circle punch, Diamond Stickles for the wings, various SU markers, and the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. And let's not forget the new SU scallop border punch!

WISHING YOU A SPEEDY RECOVERY MELANIE!

I love how this card is fancy but playful at the same time. I'm glad you chose a limited color pallet. Too many colors would have taken away from the overall look. Another A+, Clara.

Hi Clara: I love these 3 bees. Often your color combos are so light and delicate, so pretty.

Thanks for your nice comment (at Stamping Friends) about my cake art stamp & the bride's cards I made..."You never disappoint me with your hand carved images!" Honestly, I rarely disappoint myself with my carved images either. Lol! It takes a lot of courage and crushing of my procrastination before I can start carving a new stamp. But once I finally get started, it usually goes fairly quickly, though it is tedious. But like anything else, practice makes it easier.

Congrats on your award! Your site is so restful.
