The Ladybug

I just love little ladybugs and couldn't wait to finish this card so I could post it to show all of you. Using the bright red rick-rack I think was the perfect thing to finish off the card, don't you agree? :)

Stamps: Itty Bitty Backgrounds (SU), and the greeting is from My Sentiments Exactly

Ink: Black Stazon

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, all from Stampin' UP!

This was really a fun card to make! I used circle and oval punches to make the ladybug, and added a couple of black brads for the antenna. The wings were stamped to match the red background paper using Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Then I decided to do some paper piercing, but I still think it's that piece of bright red rick-rack that gives the card a bit of pizzaz! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I really like the rick-rack too. I remember that our mother used to have a whole sewing machine drawer full of all different colors just for us to use on our different projects. I don't see as much anymore. I also think the little punched dotted lines add a lot to finish this card. Hey, Sis, make me one...LOL Brenda
